manes of change
In 2016, Jo Harmer, the visionary and owner of Manes of Change, was sitting with her horses whist she was recovering from a life-threatening fall from her horse. In that moment, she wrote three words, “Manes of Change”, on a piece of paper and put it in her pocket, not yet realising the significance.
Fast-forward to 2019, after a life changing pilgrimage across Australia, a complete re-set of her life and the Cudlee Creek bushfires, Manes of Change was officially born.
Today, the name represents not only Jo’s personal journey, but the countless stories of healing and strength found alongside horses.
Horses have a remarkable ability to reach into our souls, calm our minds, and offer stillness.
Some of the strongest bonds are formed on the ground, long after a horse’s riding days are over.
Through their intuitive nature, horses sense and respond to human emotions, creating a space free of judgement.
These interactions help us connect with our true selves, improve communication, and build more meaningful relationships.
At Manes of Change, we are passionate about educating others on the power of the non-ridden horse, knowing that their presence alone can bring emotional balance, inner calm, and profound healing.
Our diverse offerings include The Horse & Soul Experience with holistic approaches and energy work, The Horse & Vine Experience in partnership with Kersbrook Hill Wines, The Humble Horseman with Pauly Daniels as well as our Mindset Horsemanship & Mentoring program.
Each experience is unique, designed to raise awareness about how horses can thrive in many ways beyond traditional disciplines.
We also emphasise the importance of practising the pause. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s essential to slow down, be present, and connect with nature.
Our horses naturally live in the moment, teaching us mindfulness, patience, and how to ground ourselves in nature.
At Manes of Change our vision is clear...
Change people's lives with horses..
Change horses lives with people..
For their riding days are just a chapter of their life...
Not the story of their life.
It's time to enjoy the whole book.
